Karate Boot Camp...

Alex's karate school had a great summer camp:



They got to mock sparr with partners:

Practice kicks:

But his favorite part was being split into groups to perform skits on how to deal with bullies:

It was such a great camp.

I loved watching Alex with his peers, he just loves being around other kids!

Fair #2...

Next up on our fair route was LeSeur County Fair! It was true small county fair, complete with a Ranch Rodeo:

It was fun to watch them rope the "cabs" (as Alex called them) and trailer them. Alex really wished they had bulls, he kept asking when the horned ones were coming out!

We didn't ride any rides, but had some yummy homemade milkshakes.

On the ride home, we passed the house with the race car in the trees:

It was a fun day and we're looking forward to the next fair on our summer fair trail - the MN State Fair!!!

Fair Time in MN....

MN is buzzing with fairs this time of year! We went to the Dakota County Fair where Alex enjoyed some rides and the fun house:

It was fun and we enjoyed not having any crowds, no lines at all, but didn't get to stay too long because it started raining. Oh well, it was just our 1st fair of the season!
