Layouts...

I've been having go-arounds with the support people at HP trying to get my old, user (read: me!) friendly photo editing software back, this new one is just not what I need to be able to scan layouts, which makes me cranky!

Okay, hopping off my box! Here are the layouts that I've done in the past few days, love the mojo flowing in my clean craft room!

I loved Nicole S.'s layout over at Studio Calico, so I lifted her "sketch". This was out of my box, I got messy with some red paint and love how it turned out:

Love this Santa stamp paper that I've had forever, so I'm glad I got to use it. I threw in some of my new paper from the SC Oct. kit (the green checked with numbers) - it's delish:

This was our change of address card that I couldn't wait to scrap after I bought this cute Fancy Pants transparency (also it's hard to tell but on the snow family, I added our initials to their scarves to make a snow A, J and little A!):

This layout was inspired by Nicole S. over by SC (you must check those dt ladies out over there!). Her layout that I lifted used some beautiful flowers across the ribbon that were very special, created by Studio Calico called "Aleida's Garden Flowers" to honor the beautifully talented Aleida Franklin. I wasn't able to get that add-on, but I hope that my garden that I made in honor of Aleida will do her justice (I'm tearing up as I type, miss her so and I never even met her irl, but I ache for her sweet hubs and two young children):

Below the "thank you" I wrote on a transparency to say "Lord for blessing me so!".

Thank you for stopping by and have a great Friday!

Scrapbooking again...

Yes, I once again scrapbook! My room is finished except for a shelf and some sheets of scrapbook paper decoupaged to be hung, so I took some pictures before I started getting creative and messing it up again! (actually, I made one layout and cleaned up afterwards, putting everything away, yay me, now if only that cleaning up afterwards stuff will last - haha, probably not!)

Here's my sewing corner - Andy is going to hang a shelf above my table that will house my rack of spools and probably fabric in baskets since my one fabric basket that you cannot see in the picture is over-flowing:

This is my work table:

My matching curtain, with my scrappy clock that you cannot see because of glare (click on the words if you want to see the clock, it will take you to the pic in my gallery at J4K):

This is flower central with some looms of fabric to brighten things up:

Close up of the looms - I had been collecting looms and bits of fabric to do this for a long while now, but saw how Janna Wilson used looms inside of looms for a very cool look, so I borrowed her fab idea (she's full of fab ideas;) and used my fiskars shapes to create the butterflies:

I got to play with my new Studio Calico kit to make this:

I'm off to hopefully get another layout done before the bus brings Alex home!

Hope you're having a terrific Tuesday, thanks for popping in!

Bargains continue...

I know, more bargains? Who can walk past an isle at Target that has 50% & 75% off signs? Well, obviously not me!

These are for Alex's room (blanket $8, drawer pulls $4.24, sheet set $3.98):

For my room (queen sheet set $12.48, extra set of pillow cases $1.98 and a throw pillow $3.48):

For the half bath (garbage can $5.07):

And on top of all that, I had to buy groceries, so my arms got quite the workout pushing that cart around!

Here's my finished mantel with the boo garland (excuse the duck picture, couldn't convince someone to let me take it down for decor purposes):

The picture doesn't show it, but I took the leftover purple beads and hung them in the flowers on the left.

Ice skating lessons started back up on Saturday. This lil man took off as soon as he hit the ice, like he's been on them every day for the past two months, which he hasn't:

Alex loved using the power washer on the deck, he's already gotten the power tools obsession - starting early, this one is:

After church on Sunday, we came home to chili in the crock pot, yum:

I attempted to make Wiemann's beer bread, it came out like a brick, not sure what I did wrong, but it was good dipped in the chili. Of course it was overcast outside, perfect for watching football, eating chili, then taking a nap - aaaahh, good end to the weekend!

I'm stalking my front door this morning, the UPS man is scheduled to deliver my Studio Calico kit - oh such excitement!!!

Hope you had a delightful weekend and Happy Monday.
