Stitched with Love...

Haley redecorated her dorm room - her colors are red and purple! Love it, but we couldn't find a comforter in her colors. She went with a black and white comforter with purple and red pillow/accents. Her 20th birthday was approaching + I've always wanted to quilt = a long, skinny quilt with lots of mistakes, but every stitch is filled with love:

I backed it with red flannel.

I had some extra fabric left over, so I made a throw pillow:


The pillow looked a little plain, so I free-hand stitched "Haley" on it because everything's better with a monogram:

I hope she loves it and overlooks the horrible sewing job!

I cannot believe that Haley's 20. We miss her so much and cannot wait to see her over the holidays!

My brother-in-law's brother works for a wonderful organization, AllPro Dads. They have events with NFL teams and this past weekend, they came to MN. Jim invited Alex and I to attend and we were thrilled to go to the Viking's Winter Park:



We met the Viking's head coach, Leslie Frazier:

I loved spending the day with Alex and we topped off the great day with a dinner date at DonPablos!

Men Only...

Our Wednesday night church program started back and Alex is thrilled to be in Stockade. It's "men only", they get to build a tool box, then a race car.

Alex enjoys being with the boys-only Awanas club and I am enjoying being head of crafts for the Adventure Club, girls-only Awanas club!
Love being back at church on Wednesday nights.

Blue Belt...

Another round of belt testing for Alex!

He's excited to have a blue belt, it's his favorite color!! One step closer to black belt. :)

I got to go to ScrapFest again this year, yay me! This year, I didn't do any make-and-takes, but only because I was sick. I did however take 3 classes - I had signed up for them months ago and if I hadn't already paid, I probably would not have gone. Yes, I felt that bad!

I made three gorgeous mini albums and will take pictures soon of the projects for you to see, but be prepared....you'll be jealous! Ha :)
