Today's happiness...

When I wake up in the morning with a soar throat because it's cold and rainy outside, I love adding fresh local honey to my coffee (and of course then curling up on the couch with Alex while he watches cartoons and I read my latest scrappy mag!):

Books with cd's from the library for Alex to listen to while having a snack:


(although I get him three or four, he gets a fave and wants to listen to it over and over again!)




Getting a hearty casserole ready to go in the oven, love the warmth and smell of something cooking in the oven when it's fall/winter:

(and that glass of Spanish Rose makes me pretty darn happy too!)


When it starts getting cold and dark early in the evening, I love to have breakfast for dinner:



(I bet we were the only ones in the neighborhood having biscuits and sausage gravy and grits for dinner that night - do they even know what a grit is here in MN?!!).

What kind of card maker are you...

Cards are not my forte, so when I sit down to make them, I usually use a sketch or just a scraplift of someone elses card and I usually never make just one! I make a few, thinking what I have coming up or just do some Happy Birthday or Thinking Of You cards - I always need those on hand.

So when I made a Nancy card, I made more than one:




They don't all look exactly the same, but pretty darn close. Now I will make one card to match someones personality sometimes (beachy for Wiemann, orange/yellow for my sweet niece Maddy, princess/sparkly for my sweet niece Lily), but when I made those I might have made a second one that was somewhat similar to have on hand, just in case.


So do you make one card at a time, or do you make a slew like me??

Deck of Me...

I've been playing a little catch up on my Deck of Me Challenge over at Just4Keeps - I just love making these little cards, so fun!!

If you're keeping track, #31 is missing, I haven't done it yet! This is HUGE for me because I do things in order usually, but I'm feelin kind of frisky, so I am doing them as the "come" to me!
