A Sweet Night...

We had a perfect night for a bonfire:

Our neighbors have a tradition of letting the kids throw a pinecone into the fire, making a wish. Alex and I decided to adopt that tradition too:

Time to make s'mores:

It was a super sweet night!!

Karate Camp...

Alex's Taekwondo School held a day camp that he participated in (8 hours long - WOW!).

He did a great job, but was VERY tired at the end of the day!

Tags Around..

This time last year my friend Lisa contacted me about participating in a tag swap and I jumped at the chance! Fast forward a year and I have 5 sets of gorgeous tags in a box and an idea I had seen on Christine Middlecamp's blog. Here's the result:

The tags above are from the Summer Lovin' swap...love them!

I added 24 mini clothes pins to an embroidery loop with wood glue then spray painted it white. (Some of our tag swaps have 24 tags, so I wanted to be sure to be able to display all of them!)

I cannot wait to get our next round of tags started, so fun.

Wannabe....

I am an Ali Edwards' Week in a Life wannabe! Week in a Life is taking photos of your life for a week. I made it a day. 1 day. Actually, not even the entire day. I lasted until 2! Here's what I got:
(Alex and Gunner cuddling on the couch in the morning)

(No morning in our house is complete without a wrestling match with Andy & Alex)

(Alex goes to summer school and the puppies nap!)

(I get my things ready for Vacation Bible School)

(Here comes the bus)

(1st day of summer school was a success!)

(Alex heads to his friends to "hang out", NOT play, they're way too cool for that!)

And that's as far as I got! Maybe next year!!

Lake Time...

We took our boat out on the maiden voyage and we all survived (barely!).
The captain:

We had a blast:

Our state bird:

That's the park where we picnicked:

Alex was "getting a tan":

It was a great day!
