First High School Football game...

On Friday night the two high schools here played each other, so after Trick-or-Treating, we headed to the game. It was packed, but we squeezed into the very top row of the bleachers so Alex could stomp and cheer for his first football game!

He had a blast:

Our home school, Lakeville South, won - go Cougars!

The Force was with us this Halloween...

Alex was Anniken "Luke" Skywalker for Halloween - he really played the part with his hood and blue light saber too!

Here he is with our little neighbor, Jack as Batman, getting ready to go Trick-or-Treating:

Alex stopped a few times to battle with Darth Vader (we have no idea who Darth is, but we saw him a couple of times and each time they stopped long enough to spar!):

Alex got lots of yummy candy, but decided to try something new to him:

He was cracking me up with his facial expressions, but in the end he's like me - the more they make you pucker, the yummier they are!
Hope you had a happy Halloween:)

Pretty scrappy happiness...

I got a big box of birthday goodness from my girlie, Dawn, yesterday, look at this:

I know, wow! She is too generous! I already started cutting out my recipe cards, distressing them and thinking what recipes to put on there. I'm thinking I might make it a mini with potholder covers! We'll see, but I'm just so excited about it, thanks Dawn!

Last night I stayed up way past midnight chatting over at Studio Calico, goodness it was fun and so exciting! I got all of these goodies:

The main kit, Fountain Square:

Add on #2, Hobson Grove:

And these incredible Technique Tuesday stamps designed by Ali Edwards (who I adore!) and they are seriously hard to find because they are one hot ticket in the scrap world right now and SC got them - I told you Scarlet & April rock with the goodies:

And I got some More Color (extra cardstock - they have the yummiest colors that are so perfect with the pattern papers!).

It was so hard deciding, the girlies over there (Scarlet and April!) put together such wonderful kits - at one point I had everything in my shopping cart to ensure that it was there if I wanted it (although I knew I couldn't get it all, but lawsie, it goes fast!), but in the end, I came to my good senses and pared it down (I had by birthday gift card from sil and her sweet family, so it was nice to know I could treat myself to extras - thanks Jenny!).

Hope you're having a terrific Tuesday!

Wii had a delightful weekend despite the weather...

What do you do when it's still October, the 20-30 mile an hour wind is blowing snow so wet and cold that it stings when it hits? If you're us, you buy a Wii of course to help get you moving in the warmth of your living room for the rest of the 6 months of being snowed in:

(we're not snowed in, YET, it actually didn't stick at all)

Alex and I have been asking Santa for a Wii every time we go to Best Buy (which is typically once a week for us) and due to the nasty weather, Santa came early! They had 2 Wii's and finally Andy, ahem Santa, realized that if he waited until December, there wouldn't be a Wii to be found. We all had a fun time playing it, my arms are hurting today, but I reign as boxing champ in our house (much to the hubs' dismay!!).

I got some scrapping in too, using some of my Studio Calico kit from October:

I'm thinking about sneaking in a nap because SC's November kit reveal is tonight and thanks to my wonderful sil, I have some extra SC money in the form of a gift certificate for my birthday to spend tonight and want to make sure I'm up at 11 when the shopping opens so I can get an add-on!!
I'll leave you with another Deck of Me card, #42, that I did this weekend:

Hope you're having a fab Monday!
