This morning I came down stairs, made coffee, scanned in layouts and cards, ready to chat with my blog friends and fellow scrappers at j4k & SC.
I noticed Dawn had posted, I've been wondering where she's been, I've missed her, so I eagerly clicked on her blog. I read her post about losing her friend Aleida. What? What was going on? What is she talking about?
I immediately went to Studio Calico and read through tears how this wife and mother of two was walking across the street when she was struck by a car running a red light.
I didn't know her, I've "chatted with" her on her blog and at SC, so why can't I stop crying? Because it just doesn't seem fair, but I need to pray and ask forgiveness for questioning God's plans, he had a reason for bringing this wonderfully talented lady back Home.
Please say a prayer for her family.
I'm off to play games with Alex because I don't want to waste a minute of my time with him - life is so precious and I hate that a tragedy like this has to serve as a reminder.
Thank you for reading.

Scrappin...

Hello Friday readers! Hope you're looking forward to the weekend - Andy's headed to the border (Canada!) to do some fishing with his boss, so lil man and I are on our own - we might have to take in a movie at the theater if the weather keeps looking so gloomy.

I was able to do a couple of layouts this week and get layouts put in albums, which felt good to take of. I'm on my fourth day of reading my new Scrapbooks Etc., there's just so much good stuff in there, I take my time savoring every page - hehe!

This layout was a Quickie Challenge at j4k, we were challenged to use alliteration in our title or journaling. This paper is from the add-on at SC that I got and the scan doesn't show it, but I used diamond affects on all of the 3's!

This layout was for Erin's Thursday Inspiration using a sketch - LOVE sketches! I'll use it again since I didn't stick to the sketch as exactly as I would have liked, plus I love a good grid/box!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Just for fun...

I ran across this site on a friend's blog to see what your child's height will be as an adult - very fun!
It said that Alex is going to be 6'3 - WOW!
What does it say about your child(ren)???
