I love cake box cookies!
Sally's Baking Addiction is an addicting blog, so many yummy ideas.
I had an annual cookie party to attend, so I needed 5 dozen cookies and these were EASY. I doubled the recipe and used red velvet cake mix:
Sally has a great tutorial on making dough taller than wider to keep the cookies chewy on the inside:
I dropped the dough into powdered sugar and was happy that when I rolled them, it didn't stain my hands (added bonus!):
I think that the end result was very festive and tasted good:
Two boxes make 6 dozen cookies, perfect - enough for the cookie swap and some leftover for my cookie monsters!
