He LOVES chocolate, so this bunny made him SO happy!!
After a beautiful church service (there was no children's church so I got to have Alex sit with me - loved that!!), we headed outside to hunt eggs while the ham, potatoes and other yummies cooked.
In one of our window boxes we found a brown dove sitting on her nest with this real egg:
After peeking at it, we left it alone to find the plastic, candy filled eggs!

It was so wonderful to be able to hunt eggs outside, it's the first time since we've lived in MN that we've been able to do so!
After lunch we feasted on lemon cake (I missed having coconut cake - a tradition that my parents started when they married, but since Alex won't eat coconut and I do NOT need an entire cake just for myself, we went with lemon!):
Such a wonderful Easter! My favorite part was sitting in church next to my handsome little man hearing him respond to the pastor with "He has Risen indeed" reinforcing that he knows the real reason for the season and all the rest is just icing on the cake!

What a handsome young man! It sounds like you both had a very Happy Easter. I love that you are attending church together! Alex is so very blessed with a wonderful Mommy! Love you!
