Once I took the knife from him, this is what the rest of the time looked like (please excuse the double chin!):

Note to self: do not let Alex choose the most intricate design next year (if you look closely, the scary pumpkin scarecrow has some toothpicks in his to hold him in place!).
After we finished, it was time for Alex to go to his father's for the rest of his fall break weekend - I hope they're getting to do some fun things!
