A Fresh Cut Tree...

On a chilly afternoon, after filling our bellies at a local pizza parlor & playing bingo to support a local hockey team, we headed to our local tree farm.

We were met by Santa:

And a beautiful nativity scene:

We headed down a trail in search of the perfect tree:

Some (BA) may say that I was a tad bit picky:

But I finally found the perfect one for them to chop down (Alex is behind BA helping ever so much!):

"TimBER":

After waiting ever-so patiently, we finally let Alex hold the saw, but just for a second to pose for a picture:

Now to drag it up the hill:
With a short stop to call for Alex to catch up with us (he was playing army between the "trenches" of trees)...note to self, next year make him wear snow pants, his sweats were covered in snow from laying in the trenches:

They shook our tree, slid it through the net machine...here it comes:

All netted and ready to load:

Loaded up and ready to go home to be decorated:

What a fun outing! We love our tree...pictures to come of it all decorated.

We are hoping to go pick our tree this weekend. We have never gone and gotten our own and we wanted to try it this year. It really looks like you guys had a great time!
