We went to a "turtle farm" today - it's actually a friend's uncle's hobby to raise/breed turtles and she took our MOMS Club there. He had all sizes and many types, but this one that you see in the video clip was our fave - his name is San Diego (he came from the San Diego zoo), he's 40 years old, and weighs 700 lbs! Alex was hesitant at first to even touch the turtles, but San Diego kept following Alex around because he was carrying a big bag of red apples, so they bonded and this is what I saw next...
SUch a cool day! Alex is so excited to tell Daddy all about it when he gets home tomorrow night. We're looking forward to Andy coming home and it'll be a busy weekend - I'm sure we'll find time to go eat sushi and visit the pet store! Oh and go to either Blockbuster or Best Buy (or both!), plus Andy has to mow the yard and we promised Alex we'd go Halloween costume shopping (he's between a Power Ranger, a Ninja Turtle, or a Transformer, but we'll keep you posted!).
