We went to St. Mark's first and had lunch at a little shack on the St. Mark's River - the grouper sandwiches melted in your mouth and the bottle beer was ice cold...delightful!
It was a foggy day and a bit windy, so instead of going out on the boat, we headed to Shell Point for a stroll down memory lane.
Dad's free sailboat, yes it was free - it's a Tally thing, only here can someone give you a sailboat...you've gotta love it!
While on the dock at the sailboat, a friend is out fishing on the dock across the canal - you can never go to Shell Point without seeing someone you know and even though you have to cough up a mill just to buy a house down there now, you can still get into all of the gates because the codes are still the same...some things just never change and that's a good thing!!
